Description
What does it mean for God to be born in the depths of the soul? In this workshop, we will enter the rich mystical vision of Meister Eckhart, the 14th-century Dominican whose daring insights continue to resonate today. Drawing on his sermons and writings, we will explore Eckhart’s central teaching of the “eternal birth” of God within, and how this inner nativity shapes our creativity, contemplation, and way of being in the world.
Through contemplative reflection and discussion, we will uncover the mystical dimensions of Eckhart’s teaching, focusing on themes such as:
The eternal birth: Exploring Eckhart’s concept of the ongoing, eternal birth of God within us—a call to spiritual rebirth and regeneration.
The mysticism of the Ground: Understanding God’s Ground as our ground, and learning to live from this profound unity.
Living without a why: Embracing a life of detachment as true freedom, following Eckhart’s invitation to let go of worldly desires and cleave to the infinite.
Participants will be invited to experience Eckhart’s wisdom not only as a historical curiosity, but as a living resource for spiritual renewal and courageous living in our own time.
This class if for you if:
You long to explore the mystery of divine presence within, and sense that God’s birth in the soul is a living invitation—not a metaphor.
