10 Years of The Hive: Becoming a School of Transformation
Ten years ago, The Hive began with a simple question: What could we create together that we could not do on our own? Over the years, The Hive has hosted more than 10,000 hours of courses and practices annually, cultivating resilience and open-heartedness in a changing world.
Our journey…
By April 2016, after hundreds of conversations, donations, and volunteer hours, our doors opened on Blue Rock Avenue. In that first year, two thousand people joined small circles and events of contemplation, art, and action.
When the pandemic hit, our community adapted—gathering online, welcoming new participants, moving into and renovating a new location, and expanding far beyond Cincinnati. Through it all, we stayed rooted in presence and purpose.
In 2025, we launched the Hive Fellowship, a two-year school of transformation led by seasoned wisdom teachers and co-created by participants across disciplines. Twenty Hive fellows now meet regularly for circles and retreats, embodying the vision that inspired our founding: inner and outer transformation woven together.
And now, we invite you to invest in our next 10 years.
To nurture this growth, we are launching our 10-Year Campaign—raising $75,000 to invest in our faculty, staff, scholarship fund, and the long-term sustainability of The Hive. In 2026, The Hive will double the size of our Fellowship and will become an independent 501(c)(3), a step that will expand our regional partnerships and deepen our impact.
