Description

In 2023, former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek H. Murthy warned of a loneliness epidemic, highlighting the profound impact of social connection on health, just as vital as movement and nutrition. His report followed the peak years of the COVID-19 pandemic, when necessary isolation left many of us more divided, less empathetic, and struggling to return to the relational postures that once sustained us.

In response to this growing concern, this workshop provides a space to explore core attachment styles and their impact on relational patterns.. Through somatic practices, we’ll work through social freeze states and the physical experience of social anxiety, gaining tools to reconnect with self and others. Participants will have the opportunity to sense into support, uncover barriers to connection, and explore new ways to foster meaningful relationships.

This class is for you if you’re looking to deepen or rebuild connection, engage in reflective and embodied practices, and cultivate relationships in a supportive and restorative space.

Participants will have a one-hour lunch break. You’re welcome to bring lunch, or take advantage of nearby restaurants within walking distance for a quick bite.  There is a refrigerator and a microwave available.

Intention of the Hive

When you join a Hive experience, you're invited into our intention to create a group experience that's inclusive, rooted in mindfulness, and dynamically relational. We aspire for each Hive experience to model these intentions, and even to refine them as we continue to learn how to gather in a way that's transformative! The embodiment of these intentions by Hive facilitators, Members, and class participants is what makes the Hive the unique and healing social container that many experience it to be.
