Description
You are nature—earth in your bones, water in your blood, fire in your warmth, air in your breath, and ether in the spacious mystery that holds it all. Across cultures and traditions, the elements offer a powerful way to understand our bodies, emotions, energy, and thoughts. In Buddhist practice, they are objects of mindfulness that help dissolve the boundaries between self and world.
In this 3‑hour session, we’ll explore the five elements through guided meditation, gentle movement, embodied practice, time in nature, journaling, and shared reflection. We’ll root into earth, flow with water, ignite fire, soften into air, and open to the spaciousness of ether.
Our practices draw from Theravada Buddhism, Qigong, Tai Chi, and teachings from Sebene Selassie, Tara Brach, and Jack Kornfield—honoring the lineages they come from and practicing for the benefit of all beings. We gather in the spirit of Ehipassiko—come and see for yourself—with compassion, curiosity, and gratitude.
What if we lived and led from an embodied connection to the elements? We forget, because we’re human. And we remember, together.

Intention of the Hive
When you join a Hive experience, you're invited into our intention to create a group experience that's inclusive, rooted in mindfulness, and dynamically relational. We aspire for each Hive experience to model these intentions, and even to refine them as we continue to learn how to gather in a way that's transformative! The embodiment of these intentions by Hive facilitators, Members, and class participants is what makes the Hive the unique and healing social container that many experience it to be.
