Description

Creativity is a portal to your power—the power to face challenges, take inspired action, and transform obstacles into opportunities. In this interactive workshop, you will use the simple practice of doodling to quiet outside noise, observe your inner world, and access your innate creative wisdom.

And creativity does not stop with the individual. Across social movements and community struggles, artistic expression has long been used to confront inequality, provoke critical dialogue, and expose injustice. Creative resistance—whether through street art, performance, digital media, or community‑based art—helps movements communicate in ways that are emotionally resonant and widely accessible.

Each creative act is an opportunity to shape the world we want to see. Through individual and collaborative doodling exercises, you will explore how creative practices can regulate your nervous system, open new perspectives, and spark meaningful conversation. As we make art alongside one another and reflect on what emerges, we see how creativity builds connection. Letting go of perfection and embracing the unknown can lead to clarity, fresh insight, and a deeper sense of community.

No artistic experience is needed—just an open mind, a sense of adventure, and a willingness to get a little messy.

Intention of the Hive

When you join a Hive experience, you're invited into our intention to create a group experience that's inclusive, rooted in mindfulness, and dynamically relational. We aspire for each Hive experience to model these intentions, and even to refine them as we continue to learn how to gather in a way that's transformative! The embodiment of these intentions by Hive facilitators, Members, and class participants is what makes the Hive the unique and healing social container that many experience it to be.
