Description
The transformation we desire outside of us starts within. If we want things to shift, to decompose and be birthed anew, we must go through this uncomfortable process inside of ourselves and become the change we wish to see. We have to be the embodied medicine, and that medicine might be bitter.
Through this course, we will somatically experience and practice ways of being with discomfort, learning the skills required of us for alchemizing our suffering into love. You know the saying -- 'Be comfortable being uncomfortable'! This is a space to explore that together.
This experience weaves principles from Somatic Experiencing, the Enneagram, nervous system physiology and more, as we explore frameworks and teachings alongside our lived experience and present moment practice.
Things we may somatically explore:
Skills for resource, support, and 'safe enough'
Anger, grief, shame, fear & sensations of discomfort - being with our own and witnessing that of others
Practices for boundaries, asking for help, holding opposing ideas, and staying present with activation
What health looks and feels like, and how we might re-orient toward health after uncomfortable experiences
Intention of the Hive
When you join a Hive experience, you're invited into our intention to create a group experience that's inclusive, rooted in mindfulness, and dynamically relational. We aspire for each Hive experience to model these intentions, and even to refine them as we continue to learn how to gather in a way that's transformative! The embodiment of these intentions by Hive facilitators, Members, and class participants is what makes the Hive the unique and healing social container that many experience it to be.
